My mission to excite underrepresented students about #STEM

I've considered giving up on my mission to excite underrepresented students about #STEM, as it has been extremely challenging to make this a full-time career.

But the twinkle in this little girl's eyes as she hands me a card to autograph was worth all the hardship and uncertainty necessary to make it to this stage.

Something she heard that day inspired her. Perhaps she will be the first person on Mars!
