Has #AI brought Tupac back to life?

Next up on the "Is #AI taking your job?" series, we're exploring how #algorithms are mining data from deceased musicians and performers to resurrect them.

If AI can be fed data from interview footage, photos, videos and songs of dead performers, is it ethically ok to use these data to churn out new videos, photos, and music with our favorite deceased artists?

It seems that in some cases, it's straight up awkward, and in others, it can be emotionally captivating.
