3 times Black People were Exploited for #Science

The #black community's general mistrust of science doesn't come from ignorance.

We have consistently been exploited by scientific practices and #experiments for hundreds of years.

When I learned this years ago, I became apprehensive about entering the field that sparked such profound curiosity within me. The field I had grown to love.

But what I realized was that with or without the black community, science will progress.

We need black #scientists on the front lines of research, #leadership and advocacy to prevent future incidents like these.
