The importance of #STEM

I had an incredible opportunity to deliver a #keynote that kicked off FIRST NYC's Robotics Competition to a group of brilliant students at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering!

Before delivering the #speech, I conversed with #students and staff, and I realized my usual message about the importance of #STEM would be pointless.

These kids already understood the #future of #STEAM, BUT many of them have yet to decide what they will do with their skills and talents.

I informed them that it was THEIR CHOICE; whether they wanted to use their world-changing #skills to serve themselves, to serve others, or both!

After all, they are likely to be the most qualified decision-makers, problem solvers, and educators of tomorrow.
