Stay healthy everyone.

Quarantining has created a time vortex and 4 strange months have passed. I've done a lot:

I've read books, made cartoons, started and sustained a new business, learned how AI works, turned my apt into a production studio, I even got my hair braided once 🤣🤣

But I've been avoiding one thing this entire time: My own mental health.

For years, I've considered seeing a therapist. Not because I have a serious problem, but because my upbringing (and the fast-paced environment I've cultivated therafter) has created a series of mental blocks that don't allow me to open up to people, among other things.

All my life I've thoroughly analyzed decisions. I turn everything into logic. For years I couldn't justify the ROI (return on investment) of a therapist. It wasn't an immediate need.

Recognizing that the person I'd like to become is beyond a series of algorithmic decisions, I will no longer put this off. I've posted this to keep myself accountable, and also to call out other overachievers/analytical/high-functioning folks out there that may justify things in the same way.

Here's the logic you might need: It's more efficient for you to outsource things of this nature to an experienced professional than to spend years trying to solve the problem on your own.

Stay healthy everyone.
